In english we have been working on book/movie covers by examining them and doing 'Comparing and contrasting' which means that when we did the comparing part, we'd compare the two chosen book/movie covers and type down what was the same between them, but for the contrasting part, we would type down what is different between them like for example, if they had different backgrounds like one had a clear sky but the other had rain and clouds then we would write that in the contrast section.
For my book/movie covers, I decided to choose diary of a wimpy kid and as my second option I chose another diary of a wimpy kid book called "Rodrick rules" and compared them by using the compare & contrast method and this is what it looks like:

Background:
The book is supposed to look like a proper diary book because in the movie at the start he talks about how his mom bought him a ‘journal’ but it’s actually a diary and during the movie he writes stuff that happens to him in the diary.

In the cover of the book there’s the main characters called ‘Greg Heffley’ in a cartoon version which is like his drawing in the movie and it has the title ‘Diary of a wimpy kid’ but the word diary is different because in the movie his mom buys him a diary or what he calls a ‘journal’ and the book looks like the diary that his mom bought him so it already had the word diary which is why the word diary is in a different font.

The main image of the book cover is Greg and Rodrick and the image shows Rodrick pushing Greg which relates to the title ‘Rodrick rules’ which sorta shows that Rodricks the boss like he has his own rules but the title could also mean that rodricks cool or something like that so yeah. |
